Hey guys! I hope you guys have been having a wonderful Fall. Today I am going to talk about 5 great things to do during quarantine. I hope these ideas will entertain you and help you find something fun to do.
Number one on our list is immersing yourself in the outdoors. Being outdoors is beneficial for your body and mind. First of all, it involves exercise which is great for your health. Also, Low to moderate intensity exercise has been shown to increase your immune function. Secondly, it helps with all this stress that everyone is having because of Covid-19. Nature has been known to be calming and stress-relieving. Finally, increased sun exposure increases your vitamin D level which may protect you from Covid-19. Day or yearly passes to State parks and National parks are inexpensive, and many of these parks are some of the most beautiful places on earth. If you cannot access one of these parks, you can always just step out into your backyard.
Number two is crafting and painting. Crafting and painting are fun activities that are great hobbies to pick up right now during Covid-19 times. They are very relaxing and will help fend off the boredom we sometimes feel being stuck at home. Also, these handmade items make meaningful gifts that can be given to loved ones who we cannot see at the moment because of Covid-19.
Our third item on the list is decluttering. If you have things you don’t need or use anymore then donate it, sell it, or throw it away. Decluttering or cleaning is a great thing to do during quarantine because you have a lot of time to focus on the task. It can also make you feel good by cleaning up things that clutter up the house. If you donate your old things, you are helping someone, which is an amazing thing to do. You can also make a profit off of the stuff you don’t want any more by selling it. Cleaning and decluttering are something the whole family can do together. You can clean while listening to music or watching tv, if you want to make it more entertaining.
Number 4 on the list is adopting a pet. You can be doing them and yourself a favor, adopting a pet. Adopting a pet can be beneficial for you because having a pet gives you responsibility, which is a great experience for young children. Pets can help relieve stress and anxiety. Covid-19 has made a lot of people feel lonely and adopting a pet can be comforting for people who are alone. Adopting a pet is beneficial for them because you are giving them a home and a chance to live life fully. You are giving them attention and love which is comforting to a pet. Some animals have been through abuse and you can help them by adopting them and showing them love and care.
Our fifth item on our list is connecting with friends and family. Because of Covid-19 we have not been able to see our loved-ones. But there are other ways to connect with them. You can meet outdoors staying 6 feet away. Or if you are uncomfortable with that, you can have a zoom, skype, or adobe meeting. Another option is to contact each other on social media or call each other. A way to show someone that you are thinking of them during these uncertain times is by writing them letters or making them something.
And we've come to the end of the list folks! Hope you found these ideas helpful and fun! Have a great weekend!
